The Longhorns now possess a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to La Vega for a non-league outing on Friday, August 15. Axtell will clash with a Pirates team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Rogers (Rogers, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Bruceville-Eddy drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to McGregor (McGregor, TX) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Saturday, August 16. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 0-3. McGregor lost 2-0 in their recent non-league match against Lipan (Lipan, TX)
