The Porter Ridge Pirates volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the host Central Academy of Technology & Arts Cougars to 1 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Pirates now possess a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Ballantyne Ridge for a non-league outing on Tuesday, August 19. Porter Ridge will play a Wolves team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Wolves record now stands at 3-0.

The Cougars (1-2) will now prepare for their game against Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC). The Knights enter the non-league game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Gray Stone Day gained a win over North Hills Christian (Salisbury, NC), 3-0, in a non-league outing.
