Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC) and the visiting Concord Spiders (Concord, NC), observed Mount Pleasant's volleyball team hold off Concord by a count of 3-2.

The Tigers (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Carson (China Grove, NC). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, Carson was tipped by Philip Simmons (Charleston, SC), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

The Spiders now own a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hickory Ridge for a non-league battle on Monday, August 18. Concord will encounter a Ragin' Bulls squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Carson (China Grove, NC). The Ragin' Bulls record now stands at 1-1.
