The Porter Spartans (Porter, TX) volleyball knocked off the visiting Fort Bend Hightower Hurricanes (Missouri City, TX), 2-0 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Spartans now possess a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to New Caney for a non-league match on Tuesday, August 19. Porter will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over New Waverly (New Waverly, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 2-1.

The Hurricanes (1-3) will now prepare for their match against North Shore (Houston, TX). The Mustangs enter the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, North Shore notched a victory over Eisenhower (Houston, TX), 3-0, in a non-league bout.
