The Horizon Scorpions volleyball squad (El Paso, TX), was edged 2-1 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Loretto Angels (El Paso, TX)

With the win, Loretto improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Angels travel to Chapin (El Paso, TX) to encounter the Huskies in a non-league battle on Friday, August 15. The Huskies enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Chapin lost 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Eastlake (El Paso, TX)

Next, the Scorpions meet the San Elizario Eagles (San Elizario, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 15. Horizon will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Young Women's STEAM Research & Preparatory Academy (El Paso, TX).
