In Thursday's non-league match, the Myers Park Mustangs (Charlotte, NC) volleyball team knocked off the host Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC), by a margin of 3-0.

The Mustangs now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Chapman for a non-league bout on Friday, August 15.

With the loss, Mallard Creek drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to Palisades (Charlotte, NC) to battle the Pumas in a non-league match on Tuesday, August 19. The Pumas enter the match with a record of 2-0. Palisades won 3-0 in their recent non-league match against Olympic (Charlotte, NC)
