In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host North Hopkins Panthers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Rusk Eagles.

The Panthers (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Quitman (Quitman, TX). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last test, Quitman gained a win over Cumby (Cumby, TX), 3-1, in a non-league test.

The Eagles now sport a 0-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central Heights for a non-league test on Friday, August 15. Rusk will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Arp (Arp, TX). The Blue Devils record now stands at 5-0.
