Texas High School Volleyball - Temple can't hold off Red Oak

In Thursday's non-league match, the Red Oak Hawks (Red Oak, TX) volleyball squad tipped the visiting Temple Wildcats (Temple, TX), by a count of 2-1.

Next up, the Hawks battle the Lubbock Westerners (Lubbock, TX) in a non-league match, on Thursday, August 14. Red Oak will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Westerners enter the match with a 0-1 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Memorial (Wichita Falls, TX).

The Wildcats now own a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Denton for a non-league battle on Thursday, August 14. Temple will encounter a Broncos squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Centennial (Frisco, TX). The Broncos record now stands at 0-1.

Match Summary

Although the pool play matches were running behind the Tem-Cats were ready willing and able to rise to the occasion as they took on Red Oak. In Game one Temple came out strong with big swings and a robust defensive effort in which saw on up and down battle all match. The Tem-Cats would take game one thanks to the strong swinging of Junior Kendal Tate and Sophomore Kylie Dixon. Red Oak would barely squeaked out a victory by taking games 2-3 but Temple did not go down with out a fight as they forced Red Oak to the brink.
