In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Sherman Bearcats volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the University Trojans.

The Bearcats (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Socorro (El Paso, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Socorro beat Life Waxahachie (Waxahachie, TX), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Trojans face the Braswell Bengals (Little Elm, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, August 14. University will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Bengals come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Independence (Frisco, TX).
