The Surry Central Golden Eagles volleyball squad (Dobson, NC), was edged 3-2 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC)

With the win, Starmount improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Rams host Forbush (East Bend, NC) to face the Falcons in a non-league test on Tuesday, August 19. The Falcons go into the test with a record of 2-1. Forbush lost 3-0 in their recent non-league test against East Forsyth (Kernersville, NC)

The Golden Eagles now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Wilkes for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 19.
