The Swain County Maroon Devils soccer team (Bryson City, NC), was overwhelmed 8-2 in Monday's non-league outing with the visiting Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC)

With the win, Brevard advances its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC) to battle the Knights in a non-league outing on Monday, August 22. The Knights go into the outing with a record of 0-1.

In their next game, the Maroon Devils battle the Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, August 17. Swain County will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record.
