With the triumph, Union County upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Dawson County (Dawsonville, GA) to battle the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 20. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 0-7. Dawson County lost 5-0 in their recent league challenge against Wesleyan (Norcross, GA)

With the loss, Lumpkin County falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Indians host Gilmer (Ellijay, GA) to battle the Bobcats in a 3A Region 7 contest on Tuesday, August 16. The Bobcats come into the contest with a record of 3-3. Gilmer lost 5-1 in their recent non-league contest against Rockmart (Rockmart, GA)
