With the win, Monroe Central upgrades its record to 1-1 on the year. The Golden Bears travel to Muncie Burris (Muncie, IN) to play the Owls in a non-league bout on Thursday, August 17. The Owls go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

The Indians now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Southern Wells for a non-league bout on Monday, August 21. Union City will play a Raiders squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Northfield (Wabash, IN). The Raiders record now stands at 1-1.
