Johnson Central Golden Eagles (Paintsville, KY) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Pikeville Panthers (Pikeville, KY), 8-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, Johnson Central moves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Golden Eagles travel to Fleming County (Flemingsburg, KY) to meet the Panthers in a non-league test on Saturday, August 17. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 2-0. Fleming County won 4-0 in their recent league test against Menifee County (Frenchburg, KY)

The Panthers now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shelby Valley for a District 57 test on Tuesday, August 20. Pikeville will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 8-0 league loss to Lawrence County (Louisa, KY). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-2.
