In Thursday's non-league outing, the host Pender Patriots soccer squad scored a nice 9-0 victory over the Union Spartans.
The Patriots (2-0) will now prepare for their outing against Southside (Chocowinity, NC). The Seahawks go into the non-league outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Southside was overwhelmed by Camden County (Camden, NC), 6-0, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Spartans play the East Bladen Eagles (Elizabethtown, NC) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, August 20. Union will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Eagles go into the outing with a 0-1 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Hoke County (Raeford, NC).
