The Lee County Trojans (Leesburg, GA) softball nipped the visiting Lowndes Vikings (Valdosta, GA), 10-9 in Thursday's non-league outing.
The Trojans now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Houston County for a 5A Region 2 outing on Tuesday, August 20. Lee County will encounter a Bears team coming off a 8-4 non-league loss to Harris County (Hamilton, GA). The Bears record now stands at 2-2.
With the loss, Lowndes moves to 2-3 on the season. The Vikings travel to Calvary Day (Savannah, GA) to encounter the Cavaliers in a non-league outing on Friday, August 16. The Cavaliers come into the outing with a record of 0-1. Calvary Day lost 13-2 in their recent non-league outing against Toombs County (Lyons, GA)
