Next, the Panthers play the Calhoun Yellow Jackets (Calhoun, GA) in a 3A Region 7 challenge, on Monday, August 19. Ridgeland will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Yellow Jackets enter the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 10-2 league win over Adairsville (Adairsville, GA).

The Bulldogs (1-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Darlington (Rome, GA). The Tigers enter the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Darlington was nudged by Model (Rome, GA), 21-9, in a league challenge.
