With the win, Wayne County advances its record to 3-0 on the season. The Yellow Jackets host Brantley County (Nahunta, GA) to face the Herons in a non-league test on Monday, August 19. The Herons go into the test with a record of 4-3. Brantley County won 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Tattnall County (Reidsville, GA)

The Bulldogs now sport a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Liberty County for a 3A Area 3 test on Tuesday, August 20. Beach will face a Panthers squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Savannah (Savannah, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 2-4.
