Bryan County Redskins (Pembroke, GA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Johnson Atomsmashers (Savannah, GA), 21-6 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Bryan County improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Redskins host Aquinas (Augusta, GA) to play the Fightin' Irish in a non-league battle on Friday, August 22. The Fightin' Irish go into the battle with a record of 1-0. Aquinas won 52-35 in their recent non-league battle against Athens Academy (Athens, GA)

The Atomsmashers now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Long County for a AAA Region 3 battle on Thursday, August 28. Johnson will play a Blue Tide team coming off a 28-27 non-league win over Vidalia (Vidalia, GA). The Blue Tide record now stands at 1-0.
