Sparks Railroaders (Sparks, NV) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Hug Hawks (Reno, NV), 26-14 in a non-league match.

The Railroaders (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Incline (Incline Village, NV). The Highlanders come into the non-league test with a 0-0 record.

With the defeat, Hug drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Damonte Ranch (Reno, NV) to play the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Friday, August 22. The Mustangs go into the challenge with a record of 0-0.
