In Friday's non-league match, the host Kaiser Cougars football squad scored a good 30-12 victory over the Pearl City Chargers.
The Cougars (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Waipahu (Waipahu, HI). The Marauders enter the OIA I match with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, Waipahu was topped by Campbell (Ewa Beach, HI), 21-6, in a non-league battle.
The Chargers now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Moanalua for a non-league battle on Friday, August 22. Pearl City will play a Menehune team coming off a 44-6 non-league loss to Punahou (Honolulu, HI). The Menehune record now stands at 0-2.
