Georgia High School Football - Long County sneaks past Vidalia

August 15, 2025: Vidalia, GA 30474

The Long County Blue Tide football squad scored 28 points and limited the host Vidalia Indians to 27 in the Blue Tide non-league victory on Friday.

In their next game, the Blue Tide face the Johnson Atomsmashers (Savannah, GA) in a AAA Region 3 challenge, on Thursday, August 28. Long County will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Atomsmashers come into the test with a 0-1 record after their 21-6 non-league loss to Bryan County (Pembroke, GA).

With the defeat, Vidalia falls to 0-1 on the year. The Indians travel to Screven County (Sylvania, GA) to face the Gamecocks in a non-league game on Friday, August 22. The Gamecocks enter the game with a record of 1-0. Screven County won 37-6 in their recent non-league game against Jefferson County (Louisville, GA)
