The Soldotna Stars walloped the visiting Palmer Moose football team by a score of 78-41 in Friday's league test.

The Stars now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Chugiak for a Railbelt test on Friday, August 22. Soldotna will meet a Mustangs squad coming off a 36-23 league loss to North Pole (North Pole, AK). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, Palmer drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Moose host North Pole (North Pole, AK) to face the Patriots in a Railbelt challenge on Friday, August 22. The Patriots go into the challenge with a record of 1-0. North Pole won 36-23 in their recent league challenge against Chugiak (Chugiak, AK)
