Tulelake Honkers (Tulelake, CA) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host CORE Butte Lynx (Chico, CA), 8-0 in a non-league outing.

The Honkers (2-0) will now prepare for their outing against Fall River (McArthur, CA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 1-1 record. In their last outing, Fall River was overwhelmed by Modoc (Alturas, CA), 1-0, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Lynx confront the Quincy Trojans (Quincy, CA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, August 16. CORE Butte will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Trojans come into the test with a 1-1 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Trinity (Weaverville, CA).
