Jones County Greyhounds (Gray, GA) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Berrien Rebels (Nashville, GA), 7-3 in a non-league match.

The Greyhounds (6-0) will now prepare for their match against Crawford County (Roberta, GA). The Eagles come into the non-league match with a 1-2 record. In their last match, Crawford County was routed by Lamar County (Barnesville, GA), 11-3, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Rebels confront the Brantley County Herons (Nahunta, GA) in a 1A D-I Region 1 match, on Tuesday, August 19. Berrien will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record. The Herons come into the match with a 1-4 record after their 6-1 league win over Thomasville (Thomasville, GA).
