The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Cushing Tigers (Cushing, OK) and the visiting Blackwell Maroons (Blackwell, OK), observed Cushing's softball team get by Blackwell by a tally of 7-1.
The Tigers (1-4) will now prepare for their bout against Tuttle (Tuttle, OK). The Tigers go into the non-league bout with a 4-1 record.
The Maroons now hold a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Newkirk for a non-league contest on Saturday, August 16. Blackwell will face a Tigers squad coming off a 12-0 non-league loss to Chandler (Chandler, OK). The Tigers record now stands at 2-1.
