In Friday's non-league match, the host Choctaw Yellowjackets softball team scored a nice 8-0 victory over the Perry Maroons.

The Yellowjackets (5-1) will now prepare for their match against Norman North (Norman, OK). The Timberwolves go into the 6A District 1 match with a 1-4 record. In their last game, Norman North was routed by Broken Bow (Broken Bow, OK), 14-6, in a non-league game.

The Maroons now hold a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Southmoore for a non-league game on Friday, August 15. Perry will play a SaberCats squad coming off a 5-2 non-league win over Westmoore (Oklahoma City, OK). The SaberCats record now stands at 1-1.
