In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Latexo Tigers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Avalon Eagles.
The Tigers (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Kemp (Kemp, TX). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league test with a 2-2 record. In their last test, Kemp tipped Grapeland (Grapeland, TX), 2-0, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Maypearl for a non-league test on Friday, August 15.
