Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Bastrop Bears (Bastrop, TX) and the visiting Manor New Tech (Manor, TX), observed Bastrop's volleyball team top Manor New Tech by a count of 2-0.
The Bears (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Texas School for the Deaf (Austin, TX). The Rangers enter the non-league contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Texas School for the Deaf dropped by Akins (Austin, TX), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
The now own a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valor Kyle for a non-league battle on Tuesday, August 19.
