Lubbock Westerners (Lubbock, TX) boosters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Bridgeport Bulls (Bridgeport, TX), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Lubbock improves its record to 1-3 on the season. The Westerners host Caprock (Amarillo, TX) to face the Longhorns in a 5A Region I District 3 test on Tuesday, August 19. The Longhorns go into the test with a record of 1-1. Caprock lost 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Fort Elliott (Briscoe, TX)

Next, the Bulls meet the Chisholm Trail Rangers (Fort Worth, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 15. Bridgeport will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Rangers enter the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Keller Central (Keller, TX).
