Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC) backers exited the stadium pleased Friday as they witnessed their volleyball team run past the host McMichael Phoenix (Mayodan, NC), 2-0 in a non-league outing.

The Cougars now have a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to Bluffton for a non-league outing on Friday, August 15.

With the loss, McMichael drops to 0-4 on the campaign. The Phoenix travel to Uwharrie Charter Academy (Asheboro, NC) to play the Eagles in a non-league outing on Friday, August 15. The Eagles come into the outing with a record of 1-0. Uwharrie Charter Academy won 3-1 in their recent non-league game against South Rowan (China Grove, NC)
