In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Chisholm Trail Rangers volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Lubbock Westerners.

The Rangers (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Bridgeport (Bridgeport, TX). The Bulls enter the non-league challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Bridgeport was beaten by Saginaw (Saginaw, TX), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Westerners now own a 1-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Caprock for a 5A Region I District 3 test on Tuesday, August 19. Lubbock will face a Longhorns squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Fort Elliott (Briscoe, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 2-2.
