The Friona Chieftans volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Sanford-Fritch Eagles to 0 in the Chieftans non-league triumph on Friday.

The Chieftans now have a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Abernathy for a non-league outing on Friday, August 15. Friona will play a Antelopes team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Kingdom Prep Academy (Lubbock, TX). The Antelopes record now stands at 0-1.

The Eagles (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Highland Park (Amarillo, TX). The Hornets go into the 2A Region I District 1 game with a 1-1 record.
