The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Independence Knights (Frisco, TX) and the host Hallsville Bobcats (Hallsville, TX), saw Independence's volleyball team top Hallsville by a count of 2-0.
The Knights (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Pearce (Richardson, TX). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Pearce was knocked off by Plano (Plano, TX), 3-0, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Bobcats meet the Lakeview Centennial Patriots (Garland, TX) in a non-league battle, on Friday, August 15. Hallsville will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Patriots go into the battle with a 1-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Mesquite (Mesquite, TX).
