In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Hawley Bearcats volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Petrolia Pirates.

The Bearcats (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Pampa (Pampa, TX). The Harvesters come into the non-league test with a 1-1 record. In their last test, Pampa achieved victory over All Saints Episcopal School (Lubbock, TX), 3-2, in a non-league test.

The Pirates now own a 0-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Seymour for a non-league test on Friday, August 15. Petrolia will face a Panthers squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Bellevue (Bellevue, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 1-0.
