The Long Creek Dragons (New Braunfels, TX) volleyball held off the host Vidor Pirates (Vidor, TX), 2-1 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Dragons now possess a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to Smithville for a non-league bout on Saturday, August 16. Long Creek will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Wimberley (Wimberley, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 0-1.

The Pirates (0-5) will now prepare for their match against Nederland (Nederland, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league match with a 4-5 record. In their last match, Nederland was tipped by Rouse (Leander, TX), 2-0, in a non-league match.
