Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the River Bluff Gators (Lexington, SC) and the host May River Sharks (Bluffton, SC), observed River Bluff's volleyball team hold off May River by a count of 2-1.

The Gators (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Legion Collegiate Academy (Rock Hill, SC). The Lancers go into the non-league battle with a 0-0 record.

The Sharks now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bluffton for a non-league battle on Thursday, August 21. May River will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Bobcats record now stands at 1-2.
