Scurry-Rosser Wildcats (Scurry, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Overton Mustangs (Overton, TX), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats (6-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Athens (Athens, TX). The Hornets come into the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Athens beat Callisburg (Gainesville, TX), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Mustangs face the Palestine Wildcats (Palestine, TX) in a non-league test, on Saturday, August 16. Overton will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Jacksonville (Jacksonville, TX).
