Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the St. Monica Mariners (Santa Monica, CA) and the host Pilibos Eagles (Los Angeles, CA), observed St. Monica's volleyball team top Pilibos by a tally of 2-0.

The Mariners (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Bishop Alemany (Mission Hills, CA). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Bishop Alemany beat Buckley (Sherman Oaks, CA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles meet the Flintridge Prep Wolves (La Canada, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 15. Pilibos will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
