Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Shallowater Mustangs (Shallowater, TX) and the visiting Plains Cowboys (Plains, TX), observed Shallowater's volleyball team top Plains by a count of 2-0.

The Mustangs (4-0) will now prepare for their battle against Abilene Christian (Abilene, TX). The Panthers go into the non-league battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Abilene Christian achieved victory over Bronte (Bronte, TX), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Cowboys now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Smyer for a non-league battle on Tuesday, August 19.
