In Tuesday's non-league battle, the visiting Murrieta Valley Nighthawks volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Poly Bears.
The Nighthawks (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Santiago (Corona, CA). The Sharks come into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record.
Next, the Bears clash with the Murrieta Mesa Rams (Murrieta, CA) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, August 18. Poly will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Rams come into the battle with a 1-0 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Linfield Christian (Temecula, CA).
