The Model Patriots soccer team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Somerset Briar Jumpers to 1 in the Patriots non-league victory on Tuesday.
Next, the Patriots face the Estill County Engineers (Irvine, KY) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, August 18. Model will attempt to better on its 3-0 season record. The Engineers enter the contest with a 0-2 record after their 4-1 non-league loss to Menifee County (Frenchburg, KY).
The Briar Jumpers now have a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Pulaski County for a District 47 contest on Thursday, August 18. Somerset will face a Maroons team coming off a 5-0 league win over Casey County (Liberty, KY). The Maroons record now stands at 2-0.
