Georgia High School Softball - Appling County bounces Emanuel County Institute

August 16, 2022: Twin City, GA 30471

The Appling County Pirates routed the host Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs softball squad by a count of 6-1 in Tuesday's non-league battle.

The Pirates (3-0) will now prepare for their battle against Brantley County (Nahunta, GA). The Herons go into the 2A Region 3 battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Brantley County was routed by Wayne County (Jesup, GA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Bulldogs now sport a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Bleckley County for a non-league battle on Friday, August 19. Emanuel County Institute will meet a Royals squad coming off a 9-3 league win over Swainsboro (Swainsboro, GA). The Royals record now stands at 3-2.
