Parklane Academy Pioneers (McComb, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Tri-County Academy Rebels (Flora, MS), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Pioneers now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Madison-Ridgeland Academy for a challenge on Thursday, August 18.

With the loss, Tri-County Academy falls to 8-3 on the campaign. The Rebels host Hartfield Academy (Flowood, MS) to battle the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 20. The Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. Hartfield Academy won 9-0 in their recent league challenge against Madison-Ridgeland Academy (Madison, MS)
