In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Carter-Riverside Eagles volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Poly Parrots.
The Eagles (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Blum (Blum, TX). The Bobcats come into the non-league battle with a 5-4 record. In their last battle, Blum achieved victory over Milano (Milano, TX), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Parrots clash with the Everman Bulldogs (Everman, TX) in a 5A Region I District 6 battle, on Tuesday, August 23. Poly will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Bulldogs come into the battle with a 4-8 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Arlington Heights (Fort Worth, TX).
