Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Ardrey Kell Knights (Charlotte, NC), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Mavericks confront the Providence Day Chargers (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, August 21. Marvin Ridge will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Chargers enter the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 6-2 non-league loss to Weddington (Matthews, NC).
The Knights now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host South Point for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, August 22.
