The Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) volleyball nudged the host Foard Tigers (Newton, NC), 3-2 in Wednesday's non-league outing.

With the win, Ashe County upgrades its record to 2-0 on the year. The Huskies host Draughn (Valdese, NC) to face the Wildcats in a non-league outing on Tuesday, August 22. The Wildcats go into the outing with a record of 1-0. Draughn won 3-1 in their recent non-league outing against Patton (Morganton, NC)

The Tigers now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Newton-Conover for a non-league outing on Thursday, August 17.
