Georgia High School Football - Monroe Area tops Loganville

August 16, 2024: Monroe, GA 30656

The Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes football squad scored 49 points and limited the visiting Loganville Red Devils to 20 in the Purple Hurricanes non-league triumph on Friday.

The Purple Hurricanes now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Cedar Shoals for a non-league test on Friday, August 23. Monroe Area will meet a Jaguars squad coming off a 42-3 non-league loss to Clarke Central (Athens, GA). The Jaguars record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, Loganville drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Red devils host Walnut Grove (Walnut Grove, GA) to meet the Warriors in a non-league test on Friday, August 23. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 1-0. Walnut Grove won 31-0 in their recent non-league test against Discovery (Lawrenceville, GA)
