West Muskingum Tornadoes (Zanesville, OH) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies (Johnstown, OH), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, West Muskingum moves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Tornadoes host John Glenn (New Concord, OH) to meet the Little Muskies in a Muskingum Valley test on Monday, August 19. The Little Muskies come into the test with a record of 0-0.

The Johnnies now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Granville for a Licking County test on Monday, August 19.
