The New Covenant Gryphons edged the host Blue Ridge Christian Bears volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Friday's non-league game.

Next up, the Gryphons confront the North Cross Raiders (Roanoke, VA) in a game, on Tuesday, August 20. New Covenant will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Raiders go into the game with a 0-1 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Christian Heritage Academy (Rocky Mount, VA).

The Bears (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Cornerstone Christian (Rockingham, VA). The Cougars go into the game with a 0-0 record.
